Kimberly O’Bryant Boho Lifestyle Portrait Session
There’s something special about photographing someone inside their own space. You get the real them — the colors they love, the art that inspires them, and the little details that make a home feel like a story. That’s exactly why this session with Kimberly O’Bryant was such a standout for me. Kimberly isn’t just a talented tattoo artist; she’s a full-on creative force, and her apartment is basically an extension of her imagination. Every wall, every shelf, every corner has some kind of artwork, sketches, or décor that shows just how deep her creativity runs.
We shot throughout her apartment, letting the natural light and her art-filled rooms set the tone. Her boho aesthetic was perfect — warm colors, handmade pieces, unique textures, and a vibe that made every shot feel personal. She posed with “The Art of Tattoo” book, lounged across her green couch surrounded by plush characters and vintage pillows, and sat confidently in a rainbow-painted chair that looked like it was made for a photoshoot. Every image had this cozy mix of softness and edge that fits her perfectly.
We also stepped outside for a few portraits surrounded by greenery, letting the sunlight catch her long, curly red hair and all the detail in her ink. Then we wrapped the session with a more intimate, moody bedroom setup that brought out a different side of her — soft, artistic, and beautifully expressive.
Sessions like this remind me why I love lifestyle portrait work. It’s storytelling. It’s personality. And when someone’s home is as full of soul and character as Kimberly’s, the images almost make themselves. This session was a mix of art, comfort, and Kimberly being unapologetically herself — exactly how I love capturing people.
